CATHOLICA collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking of any kind.

What stays on your device

Your preferences (calendar region, parish patron, appearance, text size, saved prayers, reading progress and reminder settings) are stored only on your phone. Catechism pages you open are cached on your phone so they load faster next time. None of this is sent to us or to anyone else.

Network use

• The text of the Catechism of the Catholic Church is loaded from the Holy See’s website (vatican.va) when you open a section. That request goes directly from your phone to vatican.va and is subject to their policies. Text © Libreria Editrice Vaticana.
• Everything else in the app (the liturgical calendar, Mass readings, the Bible, prayers and the Rosary) is included in the app and works offline.

Notifications

If you turn on Angelus reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your phone. No notification data leaves the device.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address and with the app update.
